Hormones and sex Control in Fish with Particular Emphasis on Salmon
Abstract:
The application of sex control in finfish offers significant benefits for the optimization of production strategies and for the reproductive containment of farmed fish. This paper presents a review of methods developed in salmon for the direct endocrine control of sex differentiation and the indirect control of sex through the integration of endocrine and genetic technologies.
