Congratulations, Prof. I Chiu Liao!

Prof. I Chiu Liao, a professor at National Taiwan Ocean University who is known as Asia’s "father of aquaculture", is one of the three winners of the 2019 Nikkei Asia prizes. Prof. I Chiu served as President of the 6th Council of the Asian Fisheries Society (1998– 2001). He is also AFS Founding Member and has served as Councilor of the 1st AFS Council (1984-1986), 2nd AFS Council (1986-1989), 3rd AFS Council (1989-1992), and 7th AFS Council (2001-2004).
