Calling for nominations for the SHOU-CRSP Yang Yi Travel Award

Dear Colleagues,

The SHOU-CRSP Yang Yi Travel Award Fund is now calling for nominations for the WAS Asian-Pacific Aquaculture 2013 (APA13, https://www.was.org/meetings/Default.aspx?code=APA2013 ). This conference will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam during December 10 - 13, 2013.

The Yang Yi Travel Award, with support from Shanghai Ocean University and AquaFish, plans to make awards to TWO qualified candidates from Asian countries to attend the conference.

As council members, please nominate candidates for this award as soon as possible.

To be eligible to apply, the candidates must:
*be under 35 years old and enrolled in a PhD program at an AquaFish, ACRSP, or PD/A CRSP partner university in Asia
OR
*be under 35 years old and recently awarded a PhD from an AquaFish ACRSP, or PD/A CRSP partner university in Asia

To qualify for the travel award, the candidate must agree to the following terms:
1) The candidate will present his/her research findings at APA13 in an oral presentation
2) The candidate will acknowledge the Shanghai Ocean University-AquaFish CRSP Yang Yi Young Scientist Travel Fund

Candidates must apply before 20 September 2013. The WAS on-line period for abstract submission is still open although it will soon close.

PLEASE NOTE: We are in the process of developing a user-friendly website for applications at www.yangyiaward.org. The site will be active in about one month if all goes well. In the meantime and for back-up, please find attached the application and recommendation forms, which can be submitted via email.
