CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Writers for profile pages for Thunnus tonggol, AsiaPacific-FishWatch
06 Jul, 2015

The Asian Fisheries Society project, AsiaPacific-FishWatch, is inviting applications from suitable qualified experts to draft three profile pages for longtail tuna (Thunnus tonggol), namely the profile webpages for Sustainability, Production, and Supply Chains.

The skipjack tuna pages serve as a model for the profile pages. These can be viewed at http://www.asiapacfish.org/index.php/species/item/5-skipjack-tuna. Style sheets are also available.

After drafting, each page will be sent to suitable reviewers, and the writers will be expected to make the necessary changes.

Applicants must be:

  • knowledgeable about Thunnus tonggol in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean areas and/or regional fisheries
  • able to write in English to a high standard
  • capable of delivering the draft by 31 August 2015

Applicants may apply to write one or more of the profile pages. A preliminary set of reference materials has been compiled, but the successful applicants will be expected to add to this list and supply copies of all references used.

When the final edited and corrected draft is accepted, the successful applicant(s) will be paid USD1,500 for each profile webpage.

In your application, please indicate your experience relevant to the writing tasks, which profile webpages you are applying to write, and any other relevant supporting material.

Applications are requested by Friday 17 JULY 2015 and should be sent to asiapacific.fishwatch@gmail.com
