Editor: Prof. Mohamed Shariff Mohamed Din

Prof Shariff is currently attached at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,Universiti Putra Malaysia. He was the President of Asian Fisheries Society during the fifth Council term. He has been a member of Asian Fisheries Society since 1986 and was the founder president of the Malaysia Fisheries Society in 1987.

Prof. Shariff obtained his Masters and PhD in Aquatic Veterinary Studies from the University of Stirling, Scotland. He has published extensively on fish health and has won several awards for his research and innovation among which was the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) gold medal. He has served as consultant to various international organisations including IDRC, FAO, NACA, INFOFISH, ACIAR and WIPO.

 

Assistant Editor: Ms. Choo Poh Sze

Choo Poh Sze retired in May 2009 from the WorldFish Center, Penang, after serving for seven years as Science and Policy Specialist and has since worked as consultant in the field of fisheries and aquaculture. Before WorldFish, she was attached to the Fisheries Research Institute, Penang where she worked for 31 years and held various positions: Head of the Mariculture Unit, Head of the Aquaculture Branch and Head of Aquatic Ecology Branch. She holds an M.Sc in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Guelph, Canada, and a B. Sc. (Hons.) in Ecology from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
